Midweek Dinners at DUMC

Midweek Dinners are back, and we hope you’ll join us for the remaining gatherings this year on November 19, December 3, and December 10. Come enjoy food, fellowship, and activities for all ages. Dinner is served from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. for just $5 per person or $20 per family. Midweek will resume again on January 7, 2026.

Advent Festival // November 30

Join us on Sunday, November 30, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall as we kick off the Advent season together! Bring the whole family to make your own Family Advent Wreath and enjoy sweet treats. Come celebrate the beginning of this joyful season with us.

Experience Bethlehem at the Live Nativity // December 4-6

Join us December 4, 5, and 6 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. as we celebrate the 25th anniversary of DUMC’s Live Nativity. Between the Chapel and the Molly McKay House, you’ll walk into a Bethlehem scene complete with Mary, Joseph, baby Jesus, shepherds, wise men, and townspeople. Visit the animal pen, explore the carpenter’s shop, see the cloth merchant, knead bread at the bakery, weave a basket, and talk with the innkeeper, census taker, and even the tax collector while the Roman soldier keeps watch. Dramas, music, and hot chocolate will be available throughout the evening. Come spend time with this holy depiction of the night Jesus was born, the true reason for the season.

Christmas in Davidson Concerts // December 4-6

Join us during Christmas in Davidson for a series of special seasonal concerts on December 4, 5, and 6. Performances will take place in both the Chapel and the Sanctuary, offering peaceful moments of music and reflection in the middle of the downtown celebrations. All concerts are free and open to everyone, so invite friends and neighbors to stop in as they enjoy Christmas in Davidson. Click the button below for the full concert schedule.

A Gentle Visit with Santa // December 13

Join us on Saturday, December 13, from 1:00 to 3:30 p.m. for a calm Christmas experience designed for children with sensory differences. Kids can meet Santa at their own pace with no lines or pressure. Sessions are scheduled in 15 minute increments. Siblings are welcome to join the visit or enjoy a craft and hot cocoa in our Siblings Space. Registration is required. Click the button below to sign up.

Cards, Cake and Caroling at The Pines // December 14

Join us on December 14 for a day of celebrating the birth of Jesus and sharing Christmas cheer with our community. From 10:15 to 11:00 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall, families are invited to a “Birthday Party for Jesus” where children will make Christmas cards for residents at The Pines and enjoy birthday cake together. After the 11:00 a.m. Lessons and Carols service, families can stay for pizza and a short carol practice before we head to The Pines from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. to sing and deliver the cards made earlier in the morning.
