Kevin Turner serves as the Minister of Music and Worship at Davidson United Methodist Church, a position he has held since 1999 when he first joined the church staff as the Associate Director of Music and Organist. Ordained as a deacon in the United Methodist Church in 2015, Kevin now leads the congregation in music and worship, overseeing all aspects of liturgical music and worship services.
A native of Virginia, Kevin’s musical journey began at the age of six when he first played piano in his church. He earned a Bachelor of Sacred Music in Organ from James Madison University in 1997. Furthering his education, Kevin completed his graduate studies at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, receiving a Master of Sacred Music in Choral Conducting in 1999. In 2020, he attained a Doctorate of Pastoral Music from Southern Methodist University.
Kevin’s commitment to excellence in both music and ministry is evident in his leadership and dedication to fostering a vibrant worship environment. He resides in Cornelius, North Carolina, with his wife, Cindy, and their two children.
