Monica is an Arkansas native and lives in Davidson with her two children, Owen and Cora, and their dog Hurley. After working as a hairstylist, she spent many years at home raising and homeschooling her children while working as a life coach.

Monica has always loved creating spaces where people feel known, encouraged, and free to be themselves. She especially enjoys the curiosity, and individuality young children bring into the classroom and loves getting to be part of their earliest experiences with learning and friendships. 

Monica enjoys gardening, baking, painting, playing guitar, and trying new recipes. She can often be found working in her garden, experimenting in the kitchen, or cheering on her kids at their basketball games.

Monica is grateful to be part of the DUMCP community and loves helping create a classroom where children feel safe and cared for.
