Director of Children's Ministry
Davidson United Methodist Church is seeking a Director of Children's Ministry to lead and grow a vibrant ministry for children from birth through fifth grade. This individual will create a safe, welcoming, and Christ centered environment where children can grow in their faith, experience God's presence, and develop a lifelong love for worship. Working closely with church staff, volunteers, and families, the Director will provide leadership for all aspects of children's ministry, including Sunday School, children's worship, Vacation Bible School, camps, special events, and volunteer development. The Director will also partner with parents in the spiritual formation of their children, uphold Safe Sanctuary policies, and help ensure that children are fully connected to the life of the church. Candidates should have a strong Christian faith, a commitment to United Methodist theology, experience leading children's ministry or educational programs, and a passion for helping children and families grow in their relationship with Christ.

Director of Finance
The Director of Finance plays a vital role in supporting the mission and ministry of Davidson United Methodist Church by providing faithful stewardship of the church's financial resources. This position oversees the day-to-day financial operations of the church, ensuring sound financial management, transparency, and accountability while equipping church leaders with the information needed to make informed decisions.
Working closely with the Senior Pastor, staff, Finance Committee, and other church leaders, the Director of Finance manages budgeting, accounting, payroll, benefits, insurance, cash flow, and financial reporting. The position also oversees annual audits, maintains strong internal financial controls, and ensures compliance with all applicable financial and regulatory requirements. In addition, the Director collaborates with staff to maintain the integrity of the church's financial and membership databases, supporting accurate reporting and effective ministry planning.
Beyond financial management, the Director of Finance serves as a collaborative member of the church staff by supporting stewardship initiatives, assisting ministry leaders with budget planning, and helping guide the church's long-term financial sustainability. The Director also supervises finance staff, provides training on financial procedures, and contributes to a culture of excellence, integrity, and service throughout the organization.
The ideal candidate is an experienced financial professional with a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field, along with several years of accounting or finance experience, preferably in a church or nonprofit environment. Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills, proficiency with financial software, and a commitment to the mission, vision, and values of Davidson United Methodist Church are essential.

Leader of Modern Worship (Part-Time)
Davidson UMC is seeking a passionate, creative, and spiritually grounded Leader of Modern Worship to help shape and lead a new modern worship community rooted in the life and mission of the church. This part-time position offers an exciting opportunity to help launch and grow a new expression of worship within a vibrant and mission-focused United Methodist congregation.
The Leader of Modern Worship will work collaboratively with pastors, staff, musicians, volunteers, and production teams to create worship experiences that are welcoming, authentic, theologically grounded, and deeply connected to the mission of making disciples of Jesus Christ.
We are looking for someone who loves both worship and people, someone who can cultivate teams, build relationships, foster belonging, and help create a worship environment where grace is offered freely to everyone. The ideal candidate will have experience leading modern worship, developing volunteers, collaborating creatively, and helping shape worship that is engaging, thoughtful, and spiritually meaningful for people across generations.
Candidates should demonstrate strong vocal ability and high-level proficiency on a primary lead instrument (such as guitar or keyboard), along with the ability to lead worship confidently and effectively in a contemporary setting.
