"Nothing to Prove” | July 5, 2026

In this Sixth Sunday After Pentecost message from Romans 7:15-25a, Rev. Meredith Hinton reminds us that the struggle between who we are and who we want to be is part of the human experience. Paul openly admits that he often does the very things he wishes he wouldn't, revealing a struggle many of us know well.

Rather than telling us to simply try harder, Meredith points us to the transforming grace of Jesus Christ. Our identity is not found in our successes or failures, but in being God's beloved children. True spiritual growth happens when we stop striving to earn God's love and instead learn to rest in the grace that has already been given to us.
