Amy brings a unique combination of more than 20 years of experience in church ministry, nonprofit leadership, financial management, and administration. Most recently, she has served as Finance and Data Manager for Wesley Community Development Corporation, where she manages accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, budgeting, financial reporting, audits, vendor relationships, and financial records for church and nonprofit clients.

Amy also brings significant hands-on church finance experience, having also served local churches overseeing payroll and benefits, financial reporting, giving statements, budgeting, and financial documentation.

Her background extends well beyond finance. Rev. Burton is an ordained United Methodist Deacon and has served for many years in church ministry and leadership, including roles in Christian education, pastoral care, staff supervision, contemporary worship, and congregational engagement. She understands the unique intersection of people, ministry, stewardship, and financial responsibility that is so important in a church setting.

Rev. Burton holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Sociology from Wake Forest University (she's an avid fan of WFU sports!) and a Master of Arts in Christian Education from Pfeiffer University, along with graduate theological studies.
