Alexis lives in Huntersville with her husband, three children, and their Cavalier King Charles spaniel puppy.

She has a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from West Virginia University - Go Mountaineers! After college, Alexis moved to Washington DC where she worked for both residential and commercial firms as a NCIDQ and LEED certified designer for 10 years before relocating to North Carolina.

She loves decorating over the top for all holidays, including a huge pirate-themed yard display at Halloween and a 15’ tall tree at Christmas. Teaching preschool at DUMC is a true joy and the perfect fit for showcasing her creativity and energy.
