The Third Sunday of Easter 2023

This week we celebrate Confirmation Sunday at DUMC.  Confirmation has been an intentional time for our confirmands to deepen their relationship with Christ and the Church, and to have their lives more centered on staying in love with God.  Confirmation is an important step on our path as friends of Jesus.  It is a significant marker on, what hopefully will be, a lifelong journey of becoming more and more like Jesus.  Confirmation is not a graduation or an ending, but an opportunity for each of us to begin a deeper commitment to Christ and to follow Christ more closely, to be human in a better way, a way that offers life and hope to others.  Congratulations to our Confirmands and their families and I hope you’ll come celebrate with them on Sunday.
