Festival of Lessons and Carols

On Sunday, the 20th Annual Davidson UMC Festival of Lessons and Carols, will feature the Christmas story in word and song.  The Service has its origin in late 19th century England. It was made famous by the choir of King's College, Cambridge, who has sung the service every Christmas Eve since 1918.  While the music changes each year, the readings remain the same. The readings recount the way of salvation, beginning with Adam and Eve and continuing until the coming of Christ. It is our hope that you will experience the joy of Christmas in hearing the story and as we join our voices in the carols and anthems of the season.  We hope to see you at 8:00am for Holy Communion in the Chapel, or at 9:30am and 11:00am in the Sanctuary for the Service of Lessons and Carols.
