DISCIPLE BIBLE STUDY

Disciple is a program of disciplined Bible study aimed at developing strong Christian disciples and leaders.  It is a program of the United Methodist Church.  Disciple provides the mutual support of the small group for study and prayer - for transformation, not just information.  It addresses the hunger people have for knowledge of the Bible and a closer relationship with Jesus Christ.

Disciple classes range from 30-34 weeks in length and meet weekly for 2 - 2 ½ hrs. Classes watch a video and provide an opportunity to share your faith, ask questions, and find ways in which God can be more meaningful in your life.

Disciple I is a pre-requisite for most of the more advanced studies.
All Disciple Bible Study classes begin in September and end in May, with a Christmas break.

Following is a list of all Disciple and related Bible study classes.  For more information, contact

This is a 32-week class which provides an in-depth look at Genesis-Exodus and Luke-Acts. These books contain the story of the formation of the people of God and the birth of the church, the story of salvation. This study addresses the Christian community and individual life, with an emphasis on worship. It is designed to appeal to the senses and emotions through words and images.  Pre-requisite: Disciple 1.

Jesus in the Gospels: The Second Generation

What do we mean when we talk about salvation? Who is Jesus Christ? What is faith? How does forgiveness work? Discover your own and the Church’s beliefs, and how they are connected. This class will give deeper meaning to worship, prayer life, and how you live out your faith.  Pre-requisite: none.
