Mission:
To provide safety and shelter for women and children fleeing situations of domestic violence and sexual assault.
Service:
They offer holistic services; counseling, group sessions, court advocacy, a safe place to stay, and a 24-hour crisis line.
Other Information:
Serves women and children of all ages and is the only safe harbor of its kind in our area.
Volunteer Needs:
Their needs include: babysitting during group meetings, assisting with transportation for the women and children, and classes to be lead by those with expertise in specific areas ranging from budgeting to crafts.
Financial Donation:
For the 2009 calendar year, DUMC has pledged $8,000.
