Sunday Nights: Connect
Connect is our youth group program where students come to connect with God and connect with each other. The night includes social time, worship, and dinner together. Each week has a new, age-relevant theme that helps teens grapple with issues of faith, life, and community.
Middle School (Grades 6-8) - meet from 5:00 - 7:0 p.m. in the Molly McKay Youth House; bring $4.00 for dinner.
High School Youth (Grades 9-12) - meet from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. in the Molly McKay Youth House; bring $4.00 for dinner.
During the year, we offer a variety of retreats and overnights for youth in Grades 6-12. These trips are a wonderful way to get away from the world, connect with other DUMC youth, and find a place where you can experience God in new and meaningful ways. Visit the DUMC youth website for a full list of upcoming trips. At the bottom of this page, you will find a Medical and Liability Release (for everyone participating in a mission trip) and a Screening Form for Working with Children and Youth (for adult chaperones).
Confirmation for Eighth Graders
What a special time the eighth grade year is for intentional spiritual growth! For confirmation, youth come together and tackle the basic and more difficult questions of faith. For many it is not the beginning, thanks to nurturing parents; and for all, it is not the end of the faith development process. It is a landmark along the path of Christianity, and specifically, United Methodism. Confirmation programs are led by DUMC clergy and staff, and parent volunteers. Click here to visit the DUMC Youth Ministries Confirmation page.
Confirmation is held annually in the fall. Questions? Contact Kevin Murray.
