Sunday Morning Small Groups

Adult Bible Study Class - Sundays, 9:30 a.m.
This discussion-oriented class with a team of leaders is open to all ages. The scripture study reflects a historical exploration, and there is varied discussion among all participants pertaining to their individual beliefs. In addition, there is a comparison and contrast to other belief systems and contemporary application for the scripture lessons studied.
Bill Hight Class - Sundays, 9:30 a.m.
This class welcomes all age groups as they study the International Lesson Series (Bible Study). They encourage discussion, allowing participants to share their feelings and beliefs on a variety of topics.
Faith in Action - Sundays, 9:30 a.m.
This class is comprised of couples and singles in their 30’s/40’s. An interest in building Christian relationships, healthy marriages and Christ-centered families is the focus of the lessons, which are taught by members of the class. Social activities and service projects enrich group life.
Journey.com - Sundays, 9:30 a.m.
This 30-50-year-old couples group is open to couples who seek to apply the Bible to everyday life, serve the community through missions and develop great friendships with others.
Life Applications - Sundays, 9:30 a.m.
This interactive class explores the daily challenges Christians face in living and working in today's society and Biblical teachings to guide us. A team of leaders facilitate discussions on applying God’s word to our lives.
Men in Balance, Sundays TBA
Join Jerry Hancock and others as they lead this group of men as they learn about themselves and share their ideas about the joys and challenges of being an adult male. This class strives to: reduce the isolation many men feel as they wrestle with concerns of career, money, sex, relationships, and other issues; facilitate the process of establishing themselves as the spiritual co-leader of their family; and create a safe environment in which to examine their lives in light of Christ's teaching and its implications for their lives. Navigators Class - Sundays, 9:30 a.m.
This discussion-oriented group studies topics of a spiritual nature. The class is diverse in age (40’s-70’s) and family makeup. Their mission is to be a cohesive group sharing spiritually and socially, as well as proactively responding to church and community needs. The Navigators class meets in the Davidson Town Hall (across Main Street from the Sanctuary).
People in Partnership - Sundays, 9:30 a.m.
This class is comprised of married couples and is open to all ages. They strive to live in partnership with the church, the community, and with each other. Pairs in Partnership uses a variety of curriculum, from Bible studies to topical studies to fiction works. There are periodic opportunities for fellowship at participants' homes, including an annual Christmas party and other get-togethers.
Shalom - Sundays, 9:30 a.m.
This discussion-oriented class is open to all age groups interested in thinking globally as Christians. They use a varied curriculum facilitated by class members.
Sunday Shorts - Sundays (see schedule below), 9:30 a.m.
Short bursts of adult faith formation. No need to sign up - just show up for the topic(s) that interest you.

October 24 - November 14: Enough: Discovering Joy Through Simplicity and Generosity by Adam Hamilton
December 5-26: An Advent Study
Young Families - Sundays, 9:30 a.m.
For young adults with children under six.
Middle-Agers - First and third Sundays at 7:00 p.m.
This class is one in which topical subjects are discussed and varying views and opinions welcomed. They share fellowship and service projects throughout the year. Born in the Forties meets in the Congregational Care House (262 South Street, with parking available in the church lot).
